The designer utilizes the abrupt structure of the building to set up an island-like closed installation space in the middle of the space, which functions as a storage room, while others, such as the guest dining room, family room, kitchen, and staircase, unfold around it, creating a spatial effect of “creating something out of nothing”. In order to minimize the visual impact of the island, a combination of diagonal lines and arcs are used as the sequence elements of the space, which is smooth and tense at the same time.
