Through my study of the Divine Comedy, I categorized human desires into four symbols: lust, anger, envy, and hubris, and used these symbols to create over 300 paintings and more than 2000 pages of commentary. This work is a comparative Chinese-Western edition, with the Western version using a special "back-to-back" binding to differentiate between "heaven" and "hell," while the Chinese version uses traditional bookbinding with thread. I explore the impact of desire on behavior in different linguistic contexts, seeking a moral and spiritual balance.
